Seatronics

Seatronics, an Acteon company, contacted Abbey Precision in May 2019 for help with a project that required the manufacture of prototypes for their underwater VALOR observation ROV, in a very short timescale, after finding the company’s details using an internet search.

Seatronics are based in Aberdeen, and specialize in marine technology solutions. After talking through their requirements and receiving STP files, quotes were produced in less than 24 hours for some complex machined components.

Within three weeks, machined parts were delivered to Aberdeen to allow Seatronics to fit then function test their design, with fully anodized components arriving shortly afterwards. Working with their designers allowed Abbey Precision to assist Seatronics in meeting very tight delivery deadlines. This was aided here at Abbey Precision by our two shift working pattern allowing a full 20 hours of machining to be undertaken over a 24 hour period.

Since the initial project in May, Abbey Precision have worked with Seatronics on a second project and look forward to maintaining their new relationship.
